Last weekend, ESCO Indonesia had a family outing to a private island – Pulau Ayer. The island was within a 30 minutes fast boat ride from Ancol, Jakarta. Although being just a short distance away, we could feel that Pulau Ayer was another world altogether.
Pulau Ayer is a relatively small island, you could walk from one end to the other within 20 minutes. However, the island has everything we needed to keep us occupied for 2 days. What we liked most were the overwater bungalows, which reminded us of those at Maldives.
This is the second time we had an outing at the island, with the first taking place approximately 9 years ago.
Employees brought their spouse and children and they were encouraged to join us in team building activities as well.
As many of our colleagues were not from Jakarta, they could only get to meet their family once in a while. Through this opportunity, their family members were able to understand more about their work at ESCO.
