The InfoComm is a 3 days event, held last month from 14th June to 16th June at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlanda, United States of America. This year, InfoComm welcomed more than 40,000 visitors, with visitors from the US and 117 countries. It was reported that 17 percent of the attendees were from outside the US.

This year, ESCO teammates from Singapore, Philippines and India attended the InfoComm. Aside from technology showcases, the InfoComm also serves as a venue for professional development and certifications. Likewise, one of our representative earned his Certified Technology Specialist certification at the InfoComm!

As part of their duty, our scouting team did their rounds around the show and shared the following technology with our team;

Oblong

Oblong offers advanced collaboration for rooms of all sizes—from small-to-medium-sized teaming spaces to large executive briefing centers. The product is designed to comprise of multiple screens installed in the room (mostly video wall panels) and the Gestural interaction lets users place content anywhere in the room from anywhere in the room, using a wand. There are a few range of solutions depending on the number of screens that start for 2 displays onwards.

Prysm

Prysm is similar to Oblong, however the user has to touch the screens or use iPad to move the presentations around and collaborate. The displays are Laser Phosphor Display tiles that are promoted to be the next-generation display technology. The Prysm digital workplace platform turns any display into a three-in-one solution with digital whiteboards, wireless screen sharing, and cloud-based digital workspaces to add powerful functionality to any meeting room. The display size is scalable and it can be as large as 190” Diagonal.

Baanto

Baanto offers ShadowSense multi-touchscreen technology which is used for numerous high-end industry solutions e.g. Digital Signage.

The ShadowSense™ offers 8″ to 267″ large format touch screen displays and provides fast, accurate and responsive performance across all product ranges. Baanto ShadowSense technology offers a range of features and capabilities not available from other touchscreen technologies. Driverless, truly plug-and-play, ShadowSense also offers unaffected performance in the brightest mid-day sun.

Leon Speakers

Leon Speakers are custom designed speakers to complement the Displays and can be installed horizontally and vertically. Some of their products include space for small amplifier, webcam and basic AV components all housed within a sound bar or the speakers mounted vertically besides the Displays.

Appotronics

Appotronics are manufacturers of Laser Projectors and manufacture various range of short throw, normal throw and large venue projectors with a speciality in Laser Projection technology.

While there were several other technologies that caught the attention of our team, there is a limit to how much we can share in this space. As ESCO is committed to delivering excellence, we believe in keeping our team abreast of the technology and developments in the market. Do keep a look out for this space as we work towards bringing these exciting technology to our clients.
